I have been a licensed Realtor® and a licensed CAM (Community Association Manager) since 1990 as my ‘chosen profession’ all starting right here in the beautiful Florida Keys. I know the islands well that link Key Largo to Key West both by land and by sea.
I added managing long term rentals to my portfolio 8 years ago. This position allows me to manage properties for absentee owners and also supervise a vacation business at the Florida Keys Rental Store with two offices to serve you.
How did I get here? An old saying is ‘home is where the heart is’ and mine would be right here in Islamorada residing for over 30 years. This pretty island is often nicknamed the “Purple Isle,” which explains the beautiful colored Sunsets. When I moved to Islamorada in 1984, there were only 1,100 full time residents. I made the move here not knowing anything about the Keys lifestyle other than being one of the most sought out fishing and diving destinations in the World. This beautiful chain of islands is connected by a set of bridges that have undergone changes adding to their history as well as their unique character.
I had just accepted a position as an on sight Property Manager for the Kon Tiki Resort making this bay front property my first Keys home. This unique acreage, in the heart of Islamorada, was subdivided by its original owner into 10 lots. There are 10 homes for 10 owners and they still operate today as a nightly family vacation resort. This is where I started my Real Estate career! I had the opportunity to work with each owner, their families, and their friends. I also helped several investors find their perfect piece of paradise here in the tropics.
In the old days when the resort was full I would hang the “Gone Fishing” sign which allowed me to go explore the back country fishing, the Everglades Park, and to have an occasional swim in the crystal blue water, while having the chance to play with schools of dolphin. If you have the chance to visit and explore the varying keys I would like you to know that “I would like to personally welcome you! “
